When the music fades…

After 21 years and 6 churches I am constantly fighting the battle of music in our youth services. I have used the videos, had student led bands and paid worship leaders. Once again I am at the crossroads of music in our services. I can do it but I am not that talented. I have a few students but they are really not ready. Does it do the kingdom any good for a kid to come in and his first impression of church/Jesus is awkward singing? Is it ok to scrap singing until we can do it well? What would that meeting look like to you?

Help me out.

  1. Who in your church (vocalist and/or musician) is willing to train potential youth vocalist/musician some songs, how to lead, maybe on a monthly basis, rotating possibly the youth, weekly or monthly?
